Where is the app?

DesktopNeko lives in the menu bar (the paw-print icon) and has no Dock icon. All settings are in that menu.

The cat is in my way

Clicks anywhere except the cat itself go to the windows below. To hide the cat, choose Hide Cat in the menu and pick 5 minutes to 24 hours, or until you show it again.

Notifications

Choose which notifications to show in Notifications in the menu. Calendar events and reminders are off by default; when you turn them on, macOS asks for permission. If you declined earlier, allow DesktopNeko in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars / Reminders.

Talk to the cat from Terminal

/Applications/DesktopNeko.app/Contents/MacOS/DesktopNeko say "Build finished!"
/Applications/DesktopNeko.app/Contents/MacOS/DesktopNeko say -d 5 "Shown for 5 seconds"
/Applications/DesktopNeko.app/Contents/MacOS/DesktopNeko clear

Tip: add an alias such as alias neko=/Applications/DesktopNeko.app/Contents/MacOS/DesktopNeko to your shell profile.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Uninstall

Quit DesktopNeko from the menu, then move it from the Applications folder to the Trash.
