DesktopNeko (“the app”) is developed by fuyuz. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the app does not collect, store on any server, or share any of your data.
Data we collect
None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not receive any information about you or how you use the app.
Data the app uses on your Mac
- Calendars and Reminders (only if you turn these notifications on and allow access): read on your Mac to tell you about upcoming events and due reminders. They are never sent anywhere.
- Downloads folder: only the file names are compared on your Mac to tell you when a download finishes.
- Battery and network status: read from macOS to show notifications.
- Settings such as the cat’s color are saved on your Mac only.
Network access
The app itself does not connect to the internet. The only network access is when macOS (the App Store’s StoreKit) verifies that the app was legitimately purchased. This is handled by Apple and does not include any personal data from the app. Apple’s handling of your information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Children
The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
